Not much time…
I hitched a lift up highway 1 with a bloke (and a friend of his) that I met on the train to Grand Junction, (and the one to Denver), and then met again randomly in LA…
The coast was fantastic, reminded be of the trip to sumburgh, but much higher.
Taking 2 days and 3 nights here before taking the train back down the coast (which i got free due to the derailment incident)
Managed to get a cold so have been feeling crappy for the last couple of nights.
Alcatraz tomorrow.

Ah! San Francisco… Pier 39, Lombard St and Alcatraz. Such memories! If you’re lucky, the guide who shows you the cell block in Alcatraz stops outside one particular cell. After a few moments looking around the cell, he calmly tells you that this used to be his cell when he was in for murder!

Will Osama bin [thingomy] be able to escape from Alcatraz!!!!! We await the next installment with bated breath! Remember to visit Sausalito on the ferry that goes across the bay and try to visit Coit Tower and have a go on the cable cars.
